If you have perused the internet for any length of time looking for guys to learn beekeeping from, the name 628DirtRooster is likely familiar. I recently had the opportunity to spend a couple of evenings talking beekeeping. In case you have never heard of him, head over to YouTube and check out his channel. Randy (628DirtRooster) is about as nice of a guy as you can meet.
One might think that folks with a huge following such as his would be a bit aloof. That couldn’t be further from the truth with Randy. He was quite open about how he keeps his bees, why he does what he does, and how he got into creating great content on YouTube.
While we talked of many things, one thing that caught my attention upon getting there were his mini-nuc boxes. Randy and Tommy (his brother) were more than happy to explain in detail how they utilize the boxes. Check out the video below and learn with us.
