School Radio Club and Teaching

As many of you know, I am a middle school computer science/STEM teacher. I have been fortunate in that I have been allowed to teach amateur radio as a part of my curriculum. While that is a great thing, budgeting for such a task is more complex. The school does usually give me a meager budget, we often want/need other equipment.

I usually try to buy enough handheld radios so that my students (ages 11-14) can have access to a radio as soon as they get a callsign. As a result, budget dollars are stretched… even buying the Baofengs that I end up getting most of the time.

Anyone additional support for our club, be it financial or equipment, is greatly appreciated. I have a Patreon page to help fund projects at school. If you wish to donate equipment, contact me by email and we can figure something out.
